Where
to Eat
France is rightly recognised for its gastronomic feasts, and the Vendée
is well able to hold its own in this domain. Particularly recommended
and well within walking distance is the Aubèrge de Moulin. A 5 min car
ride will also get you to La Scala (pizza), Mirabelle, and many others
including McDonalds - so the kids will be happy too!
To avoid disappointment particularly
in peak season, we recommend you book in advance - we will be happy to
assist if you need help. If however you prefer an evening around the barbeque,
fear not, for the nearby town of Luçon has three large 'hyper' markets
to provide all your normal food and drink requirements. If you enjoy sea
food, a trip to the ports of Aiguillon sur Mer or La Faute sur Mer will
allow you to buy freshly caught sea food including fish, mussels, oysters
and shell fish.
